Virtuoso

The thought

The dictionary defines a virtuoso as someone who has skill, manliness and excellence. Incidentally, it never defines how to be one, or what are the parameters for being a virtuoso. Virtuoso is an italian word, late latin virtuosus, Latin virtus, and it has more to do with person who has highly technical ability in fine arts, musical instruments or singing. What if someone encourages you to be a "Virtuoso" at work?

How many of your employees come with a smiling face, how many of them feel that this is the best place to work ( invest their time).?
People exhibit their best talent, when they are happy at work, when they feel their contribution matters to the organization. Do as a marketer you ensure that your employees have a blast in the office?
How it will happen?


It will happen when the self meets the soul.
Madam Curie (Marie Skłodowska Curie), who discovered radioactivity, tells true story in her autobiography.
She said that, there was a problem which she was trying to solve since months, and one night, she just left the problem, and said, I wont think about it now thus she went to sleep.
Early morning, when she woke, what she discovered was that the problem was solved completely in her table. The windows and doors were all closed and there was no chance that someone could come in silently solve the problem and go away.
Later she realized that it was her own handwriting in the solution part, thus she concluded,
" It was the time when I became one with myself, and lost my own identity".
Its when I become one with the god".


You ask musicians, great scientists, everyone will tell you one common thing,
their best came when they forgot about self, and they can't remember when that thing happened.
Take the case of Archimedes,
he ran naked, shouting Eureka, when he discovered the solution.
He never remembered that he was naked, because he just became one with Self,
and its this time,
when you become one with your own self, you start being a Virtuoso.


How many times do you find an employee, completely immersed in his/her work, that
they forget the time, food and water?
How many time have you, yourself been in this situation?


If you ever find even one employee, value him.
Its these small Virtuoso's at work who can change the way your organization works.
