Business without technology

The Thought

You will come across articles which will speak in length about " How technology has made life simpler".
Also often you can come across articles on ( targeted to a specific generation written by the same generation guy) how technology has complicated life. But where is the life moving with this, and why the Why's?

Proponents of techonlogy making life simpler are usually youth, along with people who are still young at heart, ensures that they continue to talk about how faster they have become and how quicker they utilize the technology.
On the other hand are the great old school of thoughts, who say that the technology has taken away the human side of things. Usually by and large, these people are uncomfortable at adopting technology.
The point which we ponder today is, has technology really helped the business.

Let me itterate an example.
Business gurus beleive that the two major work of any business is Innvoation and Marketing. Rest all departments are to aid to this.
Try going to any subordinate of yours, and ask him/her to come up with a innvative idea quickly.
Guess what their first act is.

The first thing they do will open up a blank presentation in powerpoint.
In fact, I always get hurt badly to see all the new MBA grads, ( even I am one), to do this as the first step.
The proponents of Out of the Box thinking also start it with this Powerpoint.
and then starts Bullets and animations.

Ask your subordinate to write a letter of thanks, first thing he/she will do is open up a Word doc.
Next step, "google it".

I beleive one advantage of Business without technology was " people " really thought long and hard before communicating any thing to anyone. These days, our civilization is robbed off by this real advantage of thinking. All we do is react.

May be thats one reason why, " Vipashna Kriya", the 10 days cleansing session, without the touch from outer world has come up such big among CEO's and honchos.

So next time, before writing, or presenting, think, Strategise and then.

Open your Technological tools.

remember, I always stress on it,

" Google can give you answers, and answers alone".
You have to find questions.
