The Artist in you.......
One of the concept of Art says
"Where Science Ends, Art begins", and one can question- if one makes the lizard brain think-
"This means that Science cannot be an Art, and art is not Science, they both are phase of something Larger than them. What is that which has Science and Art as its ingredient?"
Here is a viewpoint........
Science and Art are both Phases of Story.
Stories are the best way we as humans represent ourselves.
Long ago when Man could not speak and still the concept of Language was alien to him, he used to draw pictures on the caves to showcase himself and his heroic.
What he was using was a piece of dark rock which can right or engrave on the walls of the caves- A small little concept of Science which says that DARK is visible over lighter Shades- followed with the concept of art, the Pictures themselves.
Both of them are part of a "STORY", and its the "STORY" which gives meaning to this art as well as Science.
The marketing Lesson, " Take example as DOVE".
Dove is not a Soap, its a Cream.
This is a Story, the Basic story around which User experience are built.
Science must exist to support it, so Litmus test, But art must exist to complete the Story, hence, the White color of Soap, the flow of the soap like a Cream being dropped followed with a beautiful women in her late 20's belonging to SEC A saying the lady of my Home, "Yes, it feels so Soft".
The User Experience because it matches with their story, that soap doesnt make skin Soft.
So Next time, you try to talk to the convince your point, "ask",
What is the story which the other person knows, whats the science and Art of it, and then wove your story around his/her story.
You are assured victory.
